William F. Casey Jr., 66, Altoona, died Saturday afternoon at UPMC Altoona after an apparent heart attack.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late William F. Sr. and Frances Isabelle (Rodkey) Casey.
Surviving are a daughter, Chantel M. Nese of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren: Nicholas M. and Ava J. Nese; and four siblings: Veronica Shaffer of Abington, Mass., Michael of Knoxville, Tenn., Patty Pielmeier of Manassas, Va., and Kathleen Valentino of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Rose Mary Grant and Mary Jo Smith.
Bill was a 1966 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School, attended Carolina Military Academy and graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1971, where he was an All-American and was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles. He retired as a clerk at the U.S. Postal Service Distribution Plant, Altoona, with 12 years of service, and previously he had been a teacher in the Altoona Area School District.
Bill was of the Catholic faith, and he enjoyed golfing and fishing.
At Bill's request, there will be no visitation or service.
