Spencer “S.W.” Ward Allsbrook III

Spencer Allsbrook III, age 64, a resident of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri.

Spencer was born the son of Spencer Ward Jr. and Bette (Bryant) Allsbrook on December 4, 1948, in Scotland Neck, North Carolina. He was a 1966 graduate of Scotland Neck High School. After graduation he attended Chowan College, Rich Hill, North Carolina, where he received his Associates Degree. He was united in marriage to Diana Garber on July 28, 2001, in Warrensburg, Missouri. She survives of the home. Spencer owned and operated Allsbrook Oil Company in Scotland Neck, North Carolina, and worked various other jobs all with people. He loved people. He was a member of the Life Church of Nazarene, Warrensburg, Missouri. Spencer enjoyed woodworking, fishing, telling jokes and stories especially to his grandkids, his computers, toys, and his home with long sits on the porch and patio, and being involved with children’s church and Sunday school.

Survivors include wife Diana Allsbrook of the home; one son Ward Allsbrook IV and wife Ashley of Littleton, North Carolina; two daughters Nicki Thomas and husband Greg of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Misty Allsbrook Staton of Huntington West Virginia; four grandchildren Ross, Logan and Camryn Thomas and Megan Allsbrook; one sister Phyllis Stroud and husband Ernest of Scotland Neck, North Carolina; one uncle Thomas Allsbrook of Nashville, North Carolina; and two nephews Hugh and Todd Stroud. He was preceded in death by his parents; several aunts and uncles; and both paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at the Life Church of the Nazarene, Warrensburg, Missouri, on Friday, November 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Life Church of the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
