Bennett, Evelyn Silvernale Born in Superior, WI, December 14, 1919 to William and Mary Silvernale; died November 25, 2015 in her home with hospice care following complications from a fall, feeding her birds in her backyard. Survived by Lynne (Paul) Anderson of Omaha; Bill (Francis) Bennett of Wilmington, NC; Averil (Wayne) Jackson of Seaside, CA; Dave (Jilda) Bennett of Greensboro, NC; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and by 3 well-loved cats: the last of many furry companions. She recommends that those of her generation not climb onto a bench to fill a bird feeder. She leaves behind many dear friends at the Danish Club Vennelyst Society, terrific neighbors, Jim and Ann, Jason and Kim, other close friends from Montreal, Quebec to Morro Bay, CA. She was known as a fast walker and a long talker. With Lynne, she shared the pleasures of both travel and the home; with Bill, a love of books and travel; with Averil, a love of animals, wild and domestic; and she very much enjoyed the stories and jokes told by Dave. With friends Mary and Kelly, she shared a love for the canyon country of the Southwest and with Sher Jan and Wanna, a hope that the people of the Middle East find peace and prosperity. Natural burial at Omaha Springwell Danish Cemetery on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11am. CELEBRATION OF LIFE on December 13, 2015 with details to be determined. Special thanks for the Omaha VNA Hospice which allowed her to remain in her home, comfortable, happy, surrounded by those she loved. In lieu of flowers, gifts to the Nebraska Humanities Council (www.humanitiesnebraska.org) or NE Humane Society (www.nehumanesociety.org) are suggested. BRAMAN MORTUARY - 72nd St. Chapel 1702 N. 72nd St. 402-391-2171
