Dennis Sloan Tyson, age 63, died on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on July 30, 1955 to the late Joseph Eskel and Aldena Newberry Tyson. He was a mechanic.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton. An opportunity to visit with the family will follow the service at the gravside.

i was dennis' squad leader his first yr.i went home with him on a weekend leave. his mom was a great cook. dennis was in a hurry to get back to school early on sunday. he had a "hot" date with a girl at vardell hall. seems it was "colder" than he thought. a great sense of humor & a real prankster(short sheeted bed with shaving cream for starters) he always made you feel good. i am blessed to have known him & think of him often
