Chuck Pless was one of my classmates . He was one of the first cadets whom I met when I arrived

at CMA, I consider him a friend . When I attended the reunions I always looked forward to seeing

him . Chuck waged a courageous battle against his ailments and I salute him for his bravery . May he

Rest in Peace and may our Lord be with and watch over his family and friends .

Chuck Pless was a good friend and a kind man. We met early in the year of 1962 when I was just a lowly nineth grader and he was a Junior by also a Sergent First Class(I think he knew someone), we would see each other every now and then at the canteen because I played drums with one of his buddies, Nelson Falkner.

I was in Band Company so I really did not see Chuck very often but knew who he was by reputation, according to some of the older classmates his was sterling.

In 2006 John Rhodes took me to my first CMA Reunion at Litchfield. I had a great time and it was good to see some of my old classmates.  Chuck was the VP of the CMA Alumni Association and he was working hard on the reunions, the next year the reunion was at the Seamist Motel and I attended. While I was there Frank Sossamon asked me if I would be interested in helping with the CMA website which at the time was being run by a policeman from Gaffney.  The following year I got to work with Chuck and Leo Fuller on the reunion in Asheville, but I got sick that weekend and did not attend.  The next year working with Leo and Chuck is when I really found out what a good man Chuck was.  We worked hard the next few years to get the CMA Reunions going gang buster, with Cora Lee by his side Chuck became the president of the association. My friend Chuck Pless will be sorley missed by all that knew him at CMA.

"Rest In Peace Chuck". "My thoughts and prayer as well as my sincere condolence go out to Cora Lee and Chuck's whole family".
