lt taylor was my compnany commander in the spring of 1969.i still remember him calling cadence, your left sounded "ger lell". he was so precise in everything he did, from his uniform to his interacting with a company of 7th & 8th graders. such great military bearing, but leading from his heart with compassion & understanding. maturity beyond his years. lt taylor you were the best !!!!

Richard  was a very good friend I spent alot of time with him at his home during the spring and summer of 1970. He was so generous with his time. He made me feel like I was part of the family. I was so sad to find out he had passed.

Richard was a fine young man, and I was saddened to learn of his death several years ago.  I became better acquainted with Richard when he worked at Nowell’s in Raleigh’s Cameron Village after his graduation from CMA.  I bought quite a few things from him.  He was a fine clothier and just an exceptional character.  I am glad to see him pleasantly remembered on this page.

I saw today where James O'Leary had posted a comment on Richards Memorial and was shocked to see Richard on this page. What a loss. He did not have a chance at life and I am saddened to see this. He was a straightforward, clean-cut, all around type of guy. I competed for place goal kicking with him and luckily he got the call. I really am shocked to see this and wish he had been around to see all the changes America has gone through since our CMA days. I think he would have been disappointed. God Bless. A really good guy.
