Billy Bradham (1972)

david was batallion commander during my second year at cma, he played catcher on our baseball team, i was the statistician(score keeper), coach stovall would platoon david in the outfield to rest his knees, you can see pictures of him in the baseball section on the 1970 yearbook, david played hard & tough behind the plate, john schaffler threw a 92 mile an hr fastball(nothing but fastballs, coach mcconeghy told him to pull the string, but john just blazed away)& david would always catch it, we had some great pitchers & david made them better, if memory serves correctly david caught around 6 one hitters that season, thanks to david behind the plate, under coach charlie stovall, we won the conference championship, david was a great singer & would sit in with our cadet combo & sing at sockhops(thanks to capt lacey taylor for instigating them in place of sat movies(major dundee must have played 25 times in 2 years) david ,i'll miss you, especially on the road trips to away games in cars(the blue goose was always broken), david was a great leader & a real "team player" , his favorite expression was, " i am waiting for my pitch", hit a homerun david!
