Benjamin A. Weathers IV
DIED: June 8, 2015
LOCATION: Rolesville, North Carolina

Benjamin Ashley Weathers, IV, of Rolesville entered heaven Tuesday evening, June 8, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his devoted wife Marty Woodlief Weathers, and two precious sons; Benjamin Ashley Weathers, V (Finn), age seven and Owen Woodlief Weathers (Wood), age four.

Benjamin, 42 years old, was the son of Laura and Ben Weathers, brother of Audrey Weathers Crawford and uncle to Laura Ashley Crawford, all of Wendell. He loved his in-laws, Patsy and Donnie Woodlief and brother-in-law, Keith of Rolesville.

Benjamin, aka, Ben, Benji loved and lived life to the fullest. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a longtime member of Ducks Unlimited, The Wolfpack Club and the National Rifle Association. At nine years old he killed his first black bear with one shot in the Canadian Wilderness, making him the poster boy, with a video for the year.

He graduated from The Patterson School where he was the Captain of the Varsity Baseball Team and a member of The Patterson Ski Team. He traveled extensively with a passion, even surfing "The Bowl" in Barbados. Among his many travels, he was appointed to serve as an Ambassador to Russia one summer for the State of North Carolina.

Benjamin studied at East Carolina University where he was a brother in the Kappa Sigma Faternity. He then transferred to North Carolina State University where he graduated with a BS Degree in Animal Science. He was a Wolfpacker through and through, cheering in Section 10!

Like his father, Benjamin had a lifetime career in the Animal Health Industry, working for his dad at Veterinary Medical Supply in Raleigh. He began working in the warehouse pulling orders, was then promoted to delivery boy during the summers, and after graduating from NCSU, established his own outside sales territory, winning many awards. When his dad sold the distributorship, they, as a team, went to work for Merritt Veterinary Supplies, Inc.

Benjamin was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Knightdale. His life verse is found in 2 Timothy 4:7- I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day (June 8th).

He leaves behind many faithful intercessors, family, friends, business associates that have genuinely been touched by his love, his strength, his kind and courageous spirit. These are the people who will forever remember him as "The Warrior".

On Wednesday, June 10th, his family will be welcoming friends at his childhood home, Weathering Oaks Farm, 1625 Davistown Road, Wendell from 4 to 7 p.m.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11th, at Faith Baptist Church, 2728 Marks Creek Rd., Knightdale.

A private burial will be on Saturday, June 13th, Benjamin's 42nd birthday, at the Mausoleum, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Zebulon.

Contributions may be made in Benjamin's memory to The Annual Fund at North Raleigh Christian Academy or Faith Baptist Church.
