Passing of Carl Clarks Mother

Louise Odom Clark, 89, of Laurinburg passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Scotia Village.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Centre Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Howard Whitehurst. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Louise was the widow of the late Joe Boaz Clark, Jr. She is survived by her sons Joe B. Clark, III and wife Joan of Maxton and their children J.B. Clark and wife Erin of Madison, Wis. and Thomas Clark of Raleigh, Carl Clark and wife Cheryl of Maxton and their children Jake Clark of Elizabethtown and Jan Cirillo and husband John of Durham, William Clark and wife Sallyann of Laurinburg and their children Will Clark and wife Katie of Roanoke Rapids and Walt Clark of Raleigh.

Born on March 25, 1923 in Moore County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Teresa Sims Odom. She was preceded in death by brother Ernest Odom and sister Mary Odom. She is also survived by her sister Ernestine McRae of Maxton.

Louise was an active member of Centre Presbyterian Church where she was an Honorary Life Member and past president of the Women of the Church. She was also active with the annual ingathering. She loved gardening in her yard and was an active member of the Maxton Garden Club.

Memorials may be made to the Centre Cemetery Fund, PO Box 665, Maxton, NC 28343.

McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium is serving the family.
